I loaded up a Live session and got an error saying one of my audio clips had an end of file error. Where the clip had been now just had a placeholder. I replaced it (copy/pasted) with the same file from my hard drive. It now plays as expected.

In Pro Tools I do this all the time with audio suite plugins. You select a clip(s), pick a plugin and click “render”. Is there a way to this in Live?

I'm running Live on my MacBook Air with a Dante audio interface (Behringer X32 rack).

If I open Live without my interface connected it defaults to system audio. That's not surprising to me.

My problem is when I connect up to the interface again it stays on the system audio setting in preferences ...

Oh no... I totally forgot Max for Live isn't built into all versions of Live! I have the Suite, I thought at least the Standard edition had it too. :( Gaaah... Sorry about the disappointment!

I don't know if there's a trial version of Max you could install temporarily to test it?

I don't know if it's any use to you, but I made a Max4Live device specifically for controlling the Kemper in Performance Mode. It handles all those Program Changes for you and makes them easily programmable from the track automation lanes.

I've never used it in Session View, though -- it works ...

The consolidated does work in the arrangement view.

What do you mean? You should have a small red circle at the tempo display, and this should update to the new tempo, causing the playhead to change speed accordingly.
