I had the same issue where I had set a custom location to install and had created the folder myself. I deleted the folder and reran the installer successfully. Thanks all!

However ... I'm not clear (and cannot locate in the manual) the details of the three choices in Options => Preferences => Plug-Ins:

This is totally made up.

I've only been using Ableton for 3 days. On the first day, I discovered, in the year 2022, that you cannot specify multiple VST folders. On this third day, I've discovered there is no built in midi event viewer. IN 2022!! And 'version' 11. What. The. Heck. Is. This???? Embarrassing.

I'm new to Ableton, after having used several other DAWs over the course of decades.

Not having multiple VST folders assigned in Preferences is RIDICULOUS. It's embarrassing.
