you're setup looks really good, quite inline with what I have in mind too.

I'm just waiting for that penryn cpu to get out, & then I plan on buying the 2.8ghz version.
On the motherboard I like the ASUS P5KC which is pretty much the same as that Gigabyte mb you're talking about, also accepct DDR2&3 ...

dual boot 64bit vista and 32bit XP

Hey guys,

do you think it's possible to dualboot a vista 64 bits for crap games and other kind of work and a XP 32 bits for music production, on the same machine?

What I'm now struggelign with a bit is that RAM thingie.

If I go for such pc with a motherboard with a FSB of 1333mhz, would there be an advantage of using 1333Mhz RAM and not 667mhz RAM?

Most people say no, but then I wonder why some guys would pay more just to have 1333mhz RAM...

I remember hating XP when it got released (poor me, how could I like WinME more lol)

Nut yeah, after some years it got to a good state.
I'm sure it'll be the same with VISTA, I wouldn't expect another OS from them, they'll stick to that one and fix the issues (the never ending ...

Here in UK about 6 months ago apple had this poster campaign displaying a geeky office worker with a slogan "windows is a little hard to set up", and this casual dude with a slogan "apple works right out of the box". Made me laugh, how desbrate can apple be.

I think you're right, however I hope to switch to VISTA (if I go for the PC world of course) as XP wil soon bcome obsolete, certainly on new hardware like a quad core with maybe more than 2gb's of RAM.

I don't want to remain on a old version of windows for too long, true I don't need VISTA for ...
