So there is a LOT to do. And I am disappointed about how long bugs get fixed.


I think this Push 3 (at least for its standalone version) came out way too fast.
Not finished.

And, second problem, releasing a new product just before the summer (and the potential holidays of the development team ...

except that a Push2 standalone means nothing
Push 2 is a controller, and only an extension of the software. An "hybrid" solution (like Maschine mk3)
so we can't be satisfied with a Push 3 that's just a Push2 "amputated" of its software part...

In my opinion, Ableton has a lot of work to do on Push3 ...

are you on mac?
personally, I've had exactly the same problem and all my attempts have been in vain
nobody could help me
until I found the solution myself: the internal firewall of MacOS, which must be deactivated for Push to appear in "Places"...

I hadn't thought about it because I have another ...

I think I've tested every hardware sequencer on the market
and the problem is clearly not a lack of power...

but rather the ability of development teams to provide features that are often basic.... or even essential (forgetting the ability to send Program Change messages is unforgivable for a ...

But I think some people still use it a bit...

they haven't even provided a button on the panel that could eventually call up an arrangement mode...
This speaks volumes about their desire to develop this aspect in the future...

when you look at the silkscreen of the buttons, you can see a vertical/session mode, clearly. But no horizontal ...

I think Ableton could pull that off...

But when I think that the other day (on this forum) someone told me that I was delusional because I asked for a basic "copy/paste" function (that is currently absent from midiclips)...
It's just a question ...

So it's not a "real" arrangement mode
just a kind of enhanced "song mode"
to roughly arrange the sequence of clips on a timeline

because in my opinion, we NEED to see waveforms in a real arrangement mode
especially when you have a lot of elements to "align" from one track to another, know where to ...

considering that session mode isn't even finished... (no follow actions and no automation "envelopes" with clips for example...)

I think we can wait a long time for an arrangement mode...

imo not before Push v4(with a larger screen height...)

and that UI would be much easier to manage with the Push3 screen/knobs/buttons...

what exactly do you expect from Force2 "in response" to Push3?
Because from my point of view, Force (v1) is already a much more mature product, and therefore has all the features that Push3 lacks... (even automation curves, linear audio tracks (with REAL editing functions), arrangement mode ...)

when you record aftertouch data via an external midi controller (or a synth etc.)
how do you edit them?

if there's just a little too much aftertouch on a note for example

yes, I confirm

I had a Maschine+ and an MPC Live before the P3S, and both accepted class-compliant audio interfaces.
but Ableton has made a different choice: we use the built-in audio interface, and if we want more I/O, we go via ADAT.

am I delusional in wanting a simple copy/paste function in a sequencer? Or thinking that Ableton will do it?
