I´m so mad right now, I´ve had this issue forever now, fixed it today with the help of ChatGPT.

Well, not sure what you consider "decent", but as I´ve stated above, I DID test the laptop with the audio interface I use on my workstation and performance wasn´t notably better with it.
I could still try to do a clean install of the audio driver, or rather just uninstall the asio4all and the FL ...

So, after a long break I started picking up music production as a hobby again and decided to give ableton a try.

I immediately got hooked with the instrument rack feature in particular and have been building a lot of them to make it feel more like playing a bunch of synthesizers/instruments instead ...

One of my custom instrument racks wasn´t reacting correctly to the scale awareness button.
I set it up with a scale midi effect and had the scale awareness button on there and the global/clip scale scale awareness turned on (thats confusing as hell btw, I ...

Ok, now I feel really dumb...:)
Just tested again with the minilab and session recording works like a charm if you set it up right (just arm a track, record a clip, stop, play the clip and then hit the record button to overdub it).
Thats the problem with learning things in an unorderly fashion.

Has about the same size as the minilab 3, but as I´ve understood, you can record in overdub mode, while the minilab only sets the record button, but doesn´t let you overdub recorded clips ...
