You cannot global record Solo Button Pushes. So if you play a live set and try global
recording with Live your solo's will not show up in the arrangement.

I wish there was a setting in preferences to allow you to record solos or not record solos
while global recording.

Ableton needs to make an automation type save files so you can take automation
from the arrange view and save it and inject it to another song's arrange view.
While doing this please add Curves to the the automation somehow, and not just in the fades.

For the lowest Latency settings in Live you have to look at buffer size.

When I record my music live in real time its set to 256 samples on my mac.
The trick is using the test tone to find where you get "crackling". Turn the test tone on, and move the buffer size to a place where you do not hear ...

I bet it is inside the envelope of the midi clip. Once you record sustain there should be a sustain value inside of the midi clip envelope you have recorded in. If you stop ableton, the pedal will usually stay sustained if it has been recorded to the clip to have sustain on, thus giving you infinite ...

Lately i feel like its not working in suite 8.0.4

i collect and save and it never really brings all of the files together.
it feels like its only been recently too.

any thoughts?

a midi usb port.
a dj software that allows midi in.

get one cpu with live.
get one with dj software accepting midi.
midi them together. out of the software for djing to live cause live is great at syncing to external sources.

use nudge in live when adjusting
use the pitchwheel, or sync in traktor ...

for starters, two things.

1 did you setup the menu in you midi pref's?

2 did you remap the apc40 at one point in time and forget?

in number one just make sure you have track, sync, remote, highlighted for both in and out of the apc40 in the midi preference ports. also set your control surface ...

you can also export the tracks all individually in 8.
so much easier . check the export window.

that should select everything. apple + a.
if not use the mouse to select only the tracks you want.

*in clip view start with the track window you want to highlight first clip
till the last clip.

*in session view you may have to watch where you click. its underneath the audio
itself. between tracks ...

i have 7.0.2 on my ibook g4. took that copy and reinstalled to my g5.
back to normal.

live 7.0.5 has been acting really weird with native instruments.

the problem disappears with 7.0.2.
if anyone else notices let me know.
it could be because i am on a power pc g5.

i would say to put the song back on the macbook from the external hard drive, then open the song. hopefully it will find the files automatically. if not, find the files and then perform collect and save to your external. next time you open it from the external if you collect and save it should open ...

anytime i load a plug in on live 7.0.5 then enter the preference panel, it tries to reload the patch in the au, repeating this load task causing live to freeze. never had this problem with 7.0.4.

all the plug ins are legit and the computer is a mac dual 2.0 ppc with 4gb of ram. if i jump back to ...

i have used reaktor 5 on live 6.0.10, and on live 7.0.10b working fine with my m-audio controller and all midi ports, its on mac though. is that a know "pc only" bug?
