Hello.

After the most recent Windows Update (last two weeks), Ableton 12, which was running great on my high-end gaming laptop, no longer starts. There is a crash popup with the message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."

I've tried completely uninstalling all Ableton ...

I had to change the configuration in Live's MIDI config (Settings) for the first time ever, but following these instructions resolved the problem:

Please note - I have never had to follow those instructions before ...

My Keylab mkII 49 has worked with Ableton 12 Suite since release.

I updated to the latest version of Live this afternoon.

The MIDI note corresponding to C2 on the keyboard, along B1, are now recognized by Live as remote control codes of some sort. Higher up the keyboard, another note now toggles ...

There are lots of "try this and see if it works fixes" out there.

I appreciate the response. I haven't found a solution yet, I am sitting down to work on it yet again. I do not think that Ableton is fundamentally the problem. The internet seems to have years of Korg driver pain documented in it. Going to the Korg web site, I am deeply unimpressed by the investment ...

Up until a couple weeks ago, three Korg MIDI controllers I use:

* Nanokey2
* Nanopad2
* Nanocontrol2

were working fine with Ableton 12 Suite, on my laptop. The typical plug-and-play experience worked fine.

Windows did an update and I installed Korg drivers after from the Korg web site.
