Ableton 12 no longer starting, fails with DLL error, Windows 11

Hello.

After the most recent Windows Update (last two weeks), Ableton 12, which was running great on my high-end gaming laptop, no longer starts. There is a crash popup with the message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."

I've tried completely uninstalling all Ableton (including version 11, from which I upgraded), downloading the latest Ableton 12, running the installer as Administrator, installing to a brand new location on my hard drive, starting the application as Administrator, etc. The application was running smoothly and stably until the last Windows Update. As far as I can tell, Ableton 12 (Suite) is now completely broken, and cannot start.

I am at a loss as to what else I can do. A clean reinstall of the software with Administrator role granted is not sufficient to get an installation where the application can start. Obviously, this completely halts any usage of Ableton 12.

Could it be a plugin that's part of your default Set? Did you try starting Live with 3rd party plugins out of the way?
You said you re-installed Live, but did you also clean up its related preferences files from your OS? Because if a re-install sees existing preferences files it will use them.
Otherwise, that sounds like you should contact Support
