....In a midi track, I can either monitor the input or 'Auto' which seems to me to mean what is sequenced. I want to hear what is sequenced AND what I play on my keyboard. The only way I can do this is to arm the track for recording, do my stuff, then undo the recording. Why can't I just overdub ...

Frank, have tried the update and this problem seems to have improved greatly but hasn't completely gone away. I guess thats becuase the saved set has the wrong values anyway.

Unfortunately the problem with multiple outs from plugins has totally screwed everything else for me. 4.0.3 soon please ...

Arrrggggghhhh!!!!!! Just when I thought my automation problem seemed better with 4.0.2, this one is even worse! 4.0.2 is mostly unusable for me now.

I'm at work right now so can't d/l and try 4.0.2 but this problem does not appear on the list of fixed bugs. Is there any update on a resolution to this problem - it's driving me crazy!

Is this not how it should be? It is in all other VSTi software I have used. (mainly Cubase).
Then, it wouldnt matter what value was stored in the preset as the automation would set it to the ...

Side note, I've never run my music applications on a PC that wasn't dedicated to music software. I think that's asking a bit much out of software that uses so much resources of a PC. Just my opinion.

Problem :-

WinXp Home with 3 users (me, wife, kids)
Boot PC - log in as me
Start Live 4 - Boogie on!
Wife enters room - Switch user.
Wife checks email - writes the contents of Moby Dick as a reply while I hover around.
Wife logs off.
I log on again.
Live only has the title bar and the menu visible ...

In session view, I place a VSTi (Triangle II) in a track and create a new clip. I add some notes and loop the clip. Now I want to automate the filter cutoff in this clip. The cutoff in the preset is set about halfway between its min and max value. I draw in some automation and play the clip again ...
