Re: Can you pan audio tracks within a group?

Of course it is possible. You might be doing something wrong.
Do you have something like a Utility set to mono (or width to 0% if you prefer) - or any other plugins that would turn your signal to mono - in your Group Track processing chain? That's the only thing I can think of that could explain ...

Can you pan audio tracks within a group?

Hi guys,

I did a google search but I couldn't find the right answer to my question. I wanted to know if I can pan audio tracks that are WITHIN a group... As at the moment only the group pan works, the pans of each individual audio track within that group do nothing.

If there's a way to do this I ...

Vintage-style Trip-Hop & Drum Breaks...

I've made this stuff over the last 6 years, about to release my second album here in London. No samples used, I record everything to Ableton live, often sampling drum breaks and other bits to a tape machine or two first to get the right sound. Check it:

New EP release for anyone into reggae/dub/dubstep

Hi,

I just release my first EP on a load of download sites as well as spotify - if you like modern reggae/dub with a dubstep influence then you will like this! If you want to listen on spotify then just search 'skinshape'. Alternatively I have a soundcloud with my latest beats.

Like dubstepforum, they need to do that here as well - would be a good addition to the forum!

An equivalent of ProTools' AudioSuite

This is one thing that after recently using ProTools I feel Live is really lacking in.... ProTools has something called 'AudioSuite' where you can click on a bit of audio and put effects on it in real-time, it is great for editing audio segments - doing things like reversing, pitch shifting, and one ...

Hip Hop Instrumental (Old Skool!)

Hey, just wanted to share my latest track 'Give It Down'. Its a hip hop instrumental and I sampled Lee Dorsey's 'Give It Up' for the main theme. Drum sample is from Allen Toussaint track. Has a J5 old skool feel, the bass I recorded on my 4-string.

So for dub bass you wouldn't cut the lo-end?

Re: How to get live bass sounding really good through Live

so,

see this one..

an extreme hi/low cut that shows how you can change the sonic charkter by slighty differnt band settings..

the scale parametr is doing nothing in ths setup.. and the eckmiller swith turns it from a plain parralel 4 band Hi/low cut to an 8 band eckmiller emulation...

Sorry dude if you could explain that would be nice, this is what my bass sounds like at the moment, quite fat but I think a little muggy:

How to get live bass sounding really good through Live

Just wondering what peoples methods are for getting the bass sounding really nice and punchy without too much muggy-ness to it though ableton?

I am using a mates Yamaha 4-string bass through a behringer ultra-DI box, then though my alesis firewire 12 into Live. Then what I usually do is get the EQ ...
