Im going to swap out the internal HD on the 2.16 Macbook this evening. Has anyone done an internal HD swap without losing their ableton work?

I have my abelton disc ( currently 6LE until 8 drops)
and I am going to back up my entire ableton data folder on an external.

which version of LIVE? what are you using to play the WAV files?

I have noticed (using I tunes to import WAVS) that my master level tends to drop down a bit, but not individual tracks/frequencies.

I have the 14 day trail, which appears to limit the session maximum to 20.

On the fact sheet, this is stated as unlimited.

Just wanted to double check to see that this is in fact a limitation of the demo, because this session limitation is one of the major reasons that I am upgrading from Live ...

I need to make the move from 6LE to 7 to continue to grow with this program. The limitation of 8 sessions/6 effects per set is killing my flow.

Question:

Will my warped tracks transfer from 6 to 7?

Has anyone experience any major problems? This is on a Macbook 2.16 running tiger 10.X ...

thanks guys...i just did a ilttle trial and error to get the meter markers to land on the down beat of each measure..it does take a minute to set each one up, but trial and error enough and it works out..

Im having an issue getting my acapella tracks to warp correctly..this is using "beats" and attempting to place warp markers in the standard fashion as with a normal track...any input would be appreciated!

An X-Session Evolution aka M-Audio X-Session is VERY nice for Live puroposes if you're on a budget.
