Re: Be able to define anacrusis/upbeat sequence inside clips

Ok, it seems like we're on the same page. I'm not a DJ and not looking to perform using clips. I record using a DAW and for me the session view is a useful way to try out new ideas faster. Having to jump through the types of hoops being described really renders session view a non-productive way to w...

Re: Be able to define anacrusis/upbeat sequence inside clips

Clips don't have to start on 1. Clip Start and End Markers are independent of the Loop Markers. MIDI Clips and Warped Audio Clips can have negative values for the Start Markers (just type -1 or -2) . I do understand that. Here's a scenario. Let's say I have a 2 bar clip and I set the Clip Start at ...

Re: Be able to define anacrusis/upbeat sequence inside clips

A big +1 for this. The lack of this feature usa I've of the big things that prevents session view from working for me. Play audio clip with pickup notes in Session?

Changed the subject from “How to have audio clip synced to original start position offset” I have an audio clip in my session that is 3 measures long. The clip start position is 1.4.1 and the loop starts at 2.1.1 with length 2.0.0. So essentially, what I have is a 1 beat pickup phrase and then the m...

I've been doing this via duplicate track, but typically this is after I've recorded something, so I then have to go in and delete the content.

So if there isn't a way to do this, I guess the best way to do this is always have a blank track set up the way I want and make copies of it.

Thanks!

Can new audio tracks default to not monitor input?

Hi, I'm pretty new to Live so this is probably a pretty basic question, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Is there any way to have new audio tracks default to not monitor input? I play guitar primarily and like to monitor direct. So currently, every time I create a new audio track, I have to...
