I think that the decrease of the volume is due to the harmonics going out of phase when tweaking the resonance, in a way that they cancel themselves.

Re: refurbished 2012 macbook pro
Instead of managing two separate drives in my OS X, I configure them myself the SSD and the HDD into a Fusion drive. In that way, it is the OS which put the most used files to the SSD, and let other in the HDD.

Re: PC and Macbook compatibility
Just for my information: is it possible to download for free both versions (Windows and Mac OS X) of Sylenth and Massive when you have bought one version?

Re: PC and Macbook compatibility
Hello,
Mac OS X isn't iOS. iOS is for iPhone, iPod touch and iPads. Mac OS X is for Mac computers, and Live runs on Mac OS X.
I compose with a friend: I use a MacBook and he uses a PC. There is no big problems for sharing projects on the two OS. Just be sure that you don't use special characters ...

Moving Live from an old to a newer computer
Hello,
My Live 8.0 is already authorized on 3 computers, one of which is an old XP computer. I now have a newer PC with Windows 7, on which I would like to install the same version of Live. As I no longer have need for Live on the XP machine, I would like to un-authorize it, so that the new PC can ...

Re: Abstract hip-hop
Hello,
thanks for your feedback. I have some difficulties in mixing and mastering sounds. A professional surely could do a better work and get less harsh.
Bye.

My new track.
I used samples, Collision, drum rack, Yamaha TX16W and the effects of my MOTU Ultralite.

Re: machinedrum 12bit sampling, what does that sound like?
I will check that forum.
Isn't it possible to control the parameter locks with CC messages from the clips? If I sequence the MD with its internal sequencer, can I launch part of the sequence with Live, for example with a midi note?

Re: machinedrum 12bit sampling, what does that sound like?
Hi everyone,
I'm interested in the machinedrum. The simple version is far less expensive than the UW. I have the sampler Yamaha TX16W, which is an old 12-bit sampler. I use it mainly as a non-realtime external effect: I sample into it my drum clips made from Ableton Live and drum racks, apply some ...

Re: Recording "Envelope Automation" in Arrangment???
Hi,
I was also searched for a solution today, as I am confronted to the same problem. Now it is solved.
My mistake is that on the track I want to record my automations live, without overriding the clip, the track is armed to be recorded. If it is armed, it will be overridden by a new clip.

Re: Is it safe to upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8?
OK thanks.
I have read the FAQ explaining the ability to keep EIC1 with EIC2 installed. But I don't know if I can use the same library with Live 7 and Live 8, and keep Live 7 installed on my computer.

Is it safe to upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8?
Hello,
I will upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8 on my Mac. I would like to know if there could be some problems if I use the Library of Suite 7 in Suite 8. Should I care about something? Are the instruments (Sampler, Electric, etc...) of Live 7 compatible with Suite 8?
I also works with a friend who ...

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
Yes, I can see the iPhone/iPod touch as a little sketchbook when travelling in the train, due to the little size of the screen. iPad is certainly more adapted for serious composition or performance.

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
Hi,
I have bought ReacTable for my iPhone 3GS. It seems more like a funny musical utility than a real tool to compose music. The number of objects you can use is limited (1 delay, 3 samplers, 2 oscillator, etc...) for the whole session. The sequencer's UI is too small on the iPhone to improvise ...
