Hello,
I will upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8 on my Mac. I would like to know if there could be some problems if I use the Library of Suite 7 in Suite 8. Should I care about something? Are the instruments (Sampler, Electric, etc...) of Live 7 compatible with Suite 8?
I also works with a friend who still uses Suite 7 on his PC. We used to send sets and .als files. If I don't use Suite 8 specific instruments (I think about Collision and Amp), would we still be able to work on the same .als file, me with Suite 8 and him with Suite 7?
Thanks.
Is it safe to upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8?

Re: Is it safe to upgrade from Suite 7 to Suite 8?
I upgraded from Suite 7 to Suite 8 and have no problems whatsoever aside from issues not addressed in various fixes. One thing that may be a hindrance is trying to open .als files in 7 that were created in 8. I have tried and it simply does not work. A way to work around this, albeit time consuming, is to 'Save and Export' all the tracks in a batch, open them in 7, save it as it's own .als and send it to your friend. With 'Save and Export' you can also just send the raw tracks but that is messy and much larger to send.

OK thanks.
I have read the FAQ explaining the ability to keep EIC1 with EIC2 installed. But I don't know if I can use the same library with Live 7 and Live 8, and keep Live 7 installed on my computer.
