did u try the lock envelops button ? it should be unlocked, then envelops are locked on clips, not on their position.

I don't know if it helps but actually you can have up to 128 instruments per midi track, by grouping them in instrument rack, 1 per chain.

Then, in your clip, you assign the chain selector enveloppe value depending on the instrument you want it to be played in teh corresponding clip.

Did you try the Bome's MIDI translator ? Pro version does keystroke-to-MIDI conversion...
