i'm on windows too, latest quicktime installed (it wasn't before, but installing it didn't change anything). i always save the warp markers by clicking on "save", in fact, i didn't know there was another option to do it?

i tried to find a pattern, looking at the files which work and which don't ...

well, i got the Firebox since my local shop had it in stock.

after i plugged it in i thought i had some crackling noise, but it turned out to be the track i was playing (duh).

then i had some random dropouts, which i think had to do with the wireless connection being activated, because right now ...

The Firepod is another option. It has 8 ins/8 outs which you may not need now but ins and outs aren't something you can just add later. It's also a full rack but you can just throw that in a 2 rack space case to tote around.

i think it comes down to a Firebox or the Audio DJ 8.

but only chinch / phono type connex, still a very good alrounder card.


speaking of...the firebox only has a "breakout midi in/out", which looks like one of the old serial ports (see pic here) . can this be used just like a normal midi in/out with a certain cable/adapter? never seen those ...

Putting the KP between the intereface and the main is the simplest solution. However, the advantage of using sends is you can use it with individual tracks. If it goes between the interface and the main then you are only going to be able to use it on the entire mix.

the firebox seems to have three stereo outs. any alternatives for this one? what about the Fa-66 or the FW 410?

@ 4.33: i don't know. it seems like using it with "Send" is a more common option, although i'm not quite sure why...maybe someone who owns a Kaoss Pad 3 can shed some light on this?

Firewire 410 maybe, although it sure gets some mixed reviews....

of course only having a mono signal on the amp is far from being ideal for using it in a club-context.

i suppose it would be the same with the M-Audio Audiophile, which has about the same specifications.
