In the new version of live (7.10) neither in rewire or in regular mode the Midi port are working!

I followed your tips regarding sooperlooper and it works great but I've discovered that if put something before sooperlooper ( in this case Automat) you can have track 1/2 and 3/4
The problem( or maybe not) that Automat is gating the signal so you have to press a Midi note to ear the sound from ...

as far as I understand it's pretty simple
Put an instrument rack in a midi track and drop as many as you wish simpler instrument

Now I got it.
I routed soundflower to Live 6.01 and I tried to record with midi remote control the CPU goes to 1000%
I tried with same source, same everything on the old 5.2.2 result very normal 5% maybe less.
Live 6.01 is not useful at the moment.

I purchased both sampler and Live and I discovered that sampler not has even a simple preset If you want some you have to pay 199 more for the essential collection a really essential collection ………

Another strange behaviour of sampler is if you reverse one of the sample assign to one zone you reverse all of them

I think it's very basic function , and it's strange that simpler has and not sampler , I hope that Ableton count this as a future "free" upgrade of sampler…

I've just begin to betatest the version of Live 6 and the new plug in sampler I've direct noticed that you cannot control via Midi the sample start - lenght etc.
while you can do this in Simpler

why?

I saw some screenshot of the new Live sampler ( on digital Music ) instruments and at the first impressions remind me very very much the very old Mac sampler LiSa (www.steim.nl) besides the modulation possibility, the zone system, the multissamplings feature etc. the name is very intriguing LiSa a.k ...

I'm getting spikes that don't really register on the CPU meter - and so far 5.2 seems to be much worse in this regard than 5.0.3. The playback goes GRRRWWWW briefly (and often), but the CPU doesn't go beyond 50-60%. Not a harddisk issue, at least the 'D' is not lighting up.

I'm running OSX 10.4.6 ...

is there anyone has tested a program called Toki shot It has a rewire midi sync with video
