Thanks for the extensive (especially Jarvisimon) feedback thus far. Yes, I could see the need for tweaks. I have not yet even upgraded to Live 8, so deeper drums, less Casio-like synths, all areas to explore. I just dream of an escape route from my day job. Does anybody make a living at this?

I get terribly loud static while playing an instrument -usually bass- through a PreSonous Inspire interface into a Live audio track. Thanks, 80! Your answer helped me find what the problem was, at least with this set. When getting ready to export, I noticed the start time didn't match what I had actually set --this time around. I had re-set the start time a couple of times in my last session. So what got it to export correctly ...

I'm having the same problem, but not consistently. With some Live sets, the process has worked. (I'll go back and see if there's anything common about either the ones that worked /didn't.) But in all cases:

I think I also had my mouse (cursor) disappear the last 2 times in live (same LIve set); I'm new to the Mac as well as Live, so I wasn't sure if it was me or Live. Both times I was in the session clipview editing midi notes for an impulse ciip I had just created.
