I use it with Logic, works great.
With Live it works over Mackie protocol (see MC Mix docs).

Pro Tools also is a 32 bits application with the same limits.

I use my fireface 400 as preamp, think that's ok. Preamp should be as neutral as possible.

Good microphone for sample recording?

I'm looking to buy a decent microphone to recording samples for further processing in Live (like done in the Granulator video). Looks the best type for this application is a small diaphragm condensor type. Any recomendations for a good (but not extremly expensive) one?

Also H-Delay for me.... and the Q10 as very versatile equalizer.

I use both, Live as 'creative scratchpad' and Logic for powerfull mixing, lots of tracks etc.
They are both great programs that complete each other very well. Why choose? Use both :)
