Multiple Midi assignments

Hi All,
Not entirely sure how to word this, but I have a question.

I would like to use a single rotary knob, fader control, and pushbutton to control pan, volume, and solo. Here's the catch. I would like these controls to work for whichever channel is currently active/selected.

They are all default...I don't see that any of them control the playing of the whole sample....but here's the list...

Start: 0%
Loop: 100% (Greyed out)
Length: 100%
Fade: 0% (Greyed out)

Volume Tab
A: 0ms
D: 600ms
R: 0dB
S: 50ms

Any thoughts?

What am I doing wrong?

OK, I am not sure what I am doing wrong here, but I can't get samples to play the full length in simpler.

I downloaded some drum samples (WAV files) and when I drop them in a drum rack, it creates a simpler...the file only plays while the note is on. With all of the presets, the sample plays ...

Scene up/down?

So here's the deal...I'm working on using Pure Data to use a Playstation 2 controller to emulate a Tranzport.

So far so good...I have all the functions listed mapped out...but I don't have a tranzport, so I can't tell if there are any others.

I'm especially interested in scene up and scene down ...
