on the juno-type preset i'm working on, i ...

Re: subtle inconsistant tape speed effect?

i just found this topic and while the pitch thing is clearly addressed, what about time?

i did an experiment over the weekend where i linked the pitch in operator and the global tempo controls to a pitch bend wheel on a midi keyboard. i got a nice little tape effect out of it.

Re: pitch plugins

it's in the plugins in ableton for macs? what's it called?

i just tried my own trick by mapping the pitch bend wheel to the pitch in operator and the global time. i think it came out alright. really good for doing drastic things but a little harder to get a subtle warble because the pitch changes ...

Emulating hardware synths in Operator - Juno 106, SH-101 etc

Does anyone have any good presets that emulate real hardware synths? Operator has so many options that it can just get out of control for me. Hardware synths have specific feature limitations that give them their character and make them what they are. No limits=no identity.

Does anyone have a ...

Creating a Chromalodeon type midi instrument in Live 8 Suite

Is there a way to change the distance between notes on a midi instrument in Ableton? I'm interested in experimenting with producing music based on the Golden Ratio. In this, an A scale would go something like this infinitely:

A4
F5 +33cents
D6 -34cents
A#6 -1cent
F#7 +32cents
D#8 -34cents
A#8 ...

That totally works for midi and it's something i've been doing, but how do you get that to happen with audio?

How do you set an audio loop's length before recording it?

Is there a way to set a blank loop to record audio to? I am trying to pull off recording guitar live by listening to a click track and recording a loop. When I have the grid set to one bar, it's great because i can set it to record a few beats before I need to start playing, but is there a way to ...
