Re: Why doesn't beat mode detect transients rather than stretch?

Not so much a criticism, but more that I'm curious.

I don't see any benefit whatsoever though, so maybe it is somewhat critical, but I would like to know why.

If beat mode detected transients and then let us adjust the markers (just as it already does), then would it not result in better sound ...

You're pap, dutchie. Pap.
What's "pap"? Is that something regarding father, as in "pappy"? Or perhaps it is re:son ?

A good rule of thumb is the old Motown bass player rule: every kick drum hit must have a corresponding bass note, but not every bass note must have a corresponding kick drum hit. The best bass players I've recorded in my studio tend to follow this rule. It makes the bassline really lock in with the ...

I want to be able to quickly audition loop after loop, even if the loops are different lengths.

Example:

I have a good song going. I want to add one great shaker loop. I have over 50 of them, with varying lengths (some 1 bar, some 2, some 4, etc.).

I want to listen to the first one for 2 or 3 ...

Great, and thanks for checking!

A follow-up question or two, if you don't mind:

What happens if the loop you are hot-swapping "in" is a different length than the one you are hot-swapping "out"? For example, one of them is 4 bars long and the other is 8 bars long.

Also, are you using Simpler for ...

It is kind of shocking that looping while auditioning from the browser is still not in LIVE!! You really can't get a feel for how well a loop will work when it's only played once. Good lord, this is the technology (and market?) leading looping program!

Seems like such a ...
