I still find myself loading Impulse for specific features--if not for these features, I would work entirely in Drum Rack. I'm wondering if there is any Drum Rack equivalent of the following:
Stretch control on individual samples, and more importantly, GLOBAL time control. The global time control ...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price
mine went up from 104, to 208, I wrote Ableton, never heard back.
should have bought it on day 1
Mine did the same (well, went to $209 actually, but close enough).
It is very interesting that I have two upgrade paths to Live Suite 9. One of them costs $209, and the other costs $399. The cheaper ...

Re: Oxygen8 (original) and Live MIDI prefs
Thanks, David. It's connected by USB. I seem to remember a larger menu of inputs and outputs in the MIDI ports section.

Oxygen8 (original) and Live MIDI prefs
I recently broke out my Oxygen8 that I used to use and the MIDI preferences are different than I remember them being. When I plug in the Oxygen8 and open the prefs, the MIDI port section displays a single input and a single output (both called "Keystation"). Shouldn't the MIDI ports also present an ...

Re: A few quick questions about the M-Audio Axiom Pro
it's always a pain in the arse to have to map and assign them manually, so i'm assuming hypercontrol does that automatically?
You would think. I couldn't get the impulse pads mapped with any amount of tweaking. I guess impulse is a "legacy plug-in" now that drum rack is out.

Re: Automap - Kill me now!
I've never had a positive experience using Hypercontrol in Live. If you figure it out, please post back here!gnapier wrote:So, um, I have three words.
M-Audio.
AxiomPro.
Hypercontrol.
At least it works a charm in LOGIC and REASON. Will try it tonight in LIVE.....

That is precisely what happened.mrbiggs wrote:In any case, I hope this doesn't become a case of Ableton blaming M-Audio and M-Audio blaming Ableton.
Could be wrong, but I don't think they ever did.mrbiggs wrote: Hopefully these issues will get ironed out.

Re: Controller for Live
I'm curious to know if Hypercontrol has been improved at all in recent releases of Live. I basically shelved my Axiom Pro because I couldn't get the pads working in Impulse. That's one of the best known issues, but far from the only issue with using an Axiom Pro keyboard with Live 8.

Re: External synth plays back wrong ocatave
That makes sense, but why would that cause the synth to play one note when the transport is stopped, and the same note in a different octave when the transport is running?

External synth plays back wrong ocatave
I've got a weird problem I can't figure out. I'm using Live 8 on Leopard. The external synth is a Dave Smith mopho, and the keyboard controller is an Axiom 25.

Drum Racks and Multiple Samples question
I've been using drum racks to create kick and snare hits that are comprised of 2 or more samples mixed together. The mixer in Drum Racks is very intuitive, so no problems there.
The problem comes when I try to isolate the multi'ed kick or snare on its own track by creating a new audio track and ...

Sending Main Mix to Multiple Outputs
I have an interface with multiple outputs. I need to send a stereo mix on outputs 1/2 to a recorder and a mirror of that same stereo mix to a PA on outputs 3/4.
I see where I can assign tracks to one pair of outputs or the other, but how do I get the main mix on all four outputs? Thanks.
