My guess is they probably used the sample as a scratch track and then did their own guitars, synths and drum sounds around it until the original track was just a small part of the mix. I'm sure they paid royalties.. if not I'm sure what's left of the 80's band Breakwater is going to listen to this s...

Midi Guitar Apprecitation __ And a Tablature Question?
I'm absolutely loving my Brian Moore iguitar. Granted, it isn't as expressive as a normal guitar, but I finally feel like I have a creative way to input midi notes. Impulse is awesome... The B string is the entire kit... with the first fret being the kick drum, etc. I'm so much more adept at picking...

I got it done just in time. http://www.realworldremixed.com/remix.php?remix_id=k4voz1qFpeDxZOyg Only used the acapella vocal track, everything else was put in with an MC-808 and a guitar. I really had to warp the vocals like crazy to make it sit... and there are still a few parts I'd like to fix... ...

Yeah... I really enjoy the tracks they are giving to remix there. Really good quality songs to start with. I think the answer to this debate depends on what genre you are writing music for. If you are doing minimal or progressive rock then the Amen Break probably isn't going to add much to your music. You're better off using impulse and designing good sounding drums. If you are doing drum and bass or hip...
