From Wikipedia: The track is essentially based on one looped riff sampled from the Breakwater song "Release the Beast". In addition, Daft Punk incorporated elements of "Release the Beast" in the production and added the single's titular talk box vocal phrase. The permitted use of...

My guess is they probably used the sample as a scratch track and then did their own guitars, synths and drum sounds around it until the original track was just a small part of the mix. I'm sure they paid royalties.. if not I'm sure what's left of the 80's band Breakwater is going to listen to this s...

Midi Guitar Apprecitation __ And a Tablature Question?

I'm absolutely loving my Brian Moore iguitar. Granted, it isn't as expressive as a normal guitar, but I finally feel like I have a creative way to input midi notes. Impulse is awesome... The B string is the entire kit... with the first fret being the kick drum, etc. I'm so much more adept at picking...

I got it done just in time. http://www.realworldremixed.com/remix.php?remix_id=k4voz1qFpeDxZOyg Only used the acapella vocal track, everything else was put in with an MC-808 and a guitar. I really had to warp the vocals like crazy to make it sit... and there are still a few parts I'd like to fix... ...

Yeah... I really enjoy the tracks they are giving to remix there. Really good quality songs to start with. I hate when a band gives you some song that goes nowhere and asks you to remix it... kind of like 'hey. we don't think this song has any potential... but please prove us wrong.' I found shock t...

I love it as well. It integrates better with Tracktor... but hey... no complaints. It feels solid, like your moving a real mixer...

I'm enjoying the ecler nuo 4... maybe in a couple years I'll outgrow it and there will be something like the 3d that will blow it away... Until then when playing live it's great to have a real mixer to control software.

The troublesome 'insights' such as "I am a budha", "my thoughts can kill people", tend to stem from having no mystical conceptual framework to help you deal with the issues that are introduced by "looking from another place". A lot of these 'flawed' insights are also t...

I'd probably wait... The X session is okay, but it's also kinda plastic-y feeling...

I'd suggest the BCR 2000 or waiting... there always seems to be something new.

I think the answer to this debate depends on what genre you are writing music for. If you are doing minimal or progressive rock then the Amen Break probably isn't going to add much to your music. You're better off using impulse and designing good sounding drums. If you are doing drum and bass or hip...
