you can either turn the effect on or off, using clip or track automation.

for delays or reverbs it works better to use a return track and automate the send level.

you could also have two versions of the track, one with the effect and one without.

Is this possible? I'm sure i saw something in the manual when i first got live but can't find it again.

would be so nice not to have to re-do all my envelopes after making a small tweak to one clip and wanting to propagate that change to other clips.

I am experiencing exactly the same sort of crackleyness [edit: as in the mp3 posted above] with my Novation X Station, even if both input and output are selected as the X Station. It tends to happen sporadically, not so much as to make the X Station useless, but enough to be annoying. I've not tried ...

why does the undo history get cleared when i save? - why not save the undo history with the live set, so you could undo back into your last editing session (or further) if you wanted to..
