Re: a way to mute midi rather than audio in drum pads
Cool, thanks. Not as easy to integrate with push, though. Still. good to know.

a way to mute midi rather than audio in drum pads
Is there a way to mute the drum rack pads' midi, i.e. let the already playing ones continue with their release with push or any other midi controller? Muting a pad's audio makes sense in a limited number of situations, whereas midi muting would open performance possibilities - that is how this works...

As in the title. Also the playhead as it plays back.

Buggy but working, so it's good it has not been nullified.

use beatrepeat to repeat specifical 1/8th
I am struggling to get beat repeat to repeat a specific 1/8th worth of sound at a specific moment. Something you would do in post-processing by duplicating that part of the clip. How to set up Beat Repeat to make it do the duplicate on the fly?

Re: Sync Latency Compensation DISASTER
That's impressive, really :) This means everyone knows. I wonder how come, musicians themselves, ableton team don't just get this done if only for themselves. I would do it on day two. Could it be that there is some technical impossibility? You can't check that against bitwig because it does not hav...

You would not have to go back and do what you do anyway

Re: Sync Latency Compensation DISASTER
Triggering sidechain with midi? can you explain? Side note. The same lag of recorded loops was observable in Traktor 2, even with ASIO set to 256, btw. Having configured apc40 to record 1 bar loops, you would get this loop playing right away with the balance between the main output and loop linked t...

Back to arrangement button - consistency of positioning
I appreciate the logic behind having it the way it is now but, years after introduction of the button, I find myself seeking the button each time. Placing it in the upper panel consistently would be a good move, I think.

Re: "Dynamic Clip" in Arrangement
It might be causing some problems, though. I wonder how that is solved in other daws. If you duplicate a clip and modify the second clip, does the original one get modified as well?

Quick way to deactivate tracks and groups at large
For those cases you do not want to fiddle with grouping all devices and turning that off per each track and undoing that later, it would be cool to have a quick way to deactivate and later activate a track or group at large upon a click.

Song copyright - cropping a sample
I like a brief harmonica intro of a song, so I wonder if there is any time threshold beyond which material is copyrighted.
Years ago, I think I heard that was two seconds so that you were free to sample less than that.
Where to look for the express rules?

Splice for project backups 2020
I have been using mega for that, with 50 gigs and seamless operation. Still, if splice works well, I would gladly use mega for backing up audiobooks. What are your experiences with Splice cloud for backing up Ableton projects? Are there any catches or problems at all? I would not be buying anything ...

Ctrl+Shift& click while recording to bypass recording a parameter
When recording, every knob you move gets recorded, which is essentially, okay. But sometimes you just want to mute a secondary track to get a better feel of what is in focus, and this is when it would be great to mute this without it getting recorded so that you do not have to fix that (remove autom...
