Every now and then, I try out other DAWs—this is what originally brought me from Cubase to Ableton. For the last couple of years, I have checked out Bitwig with every major version. On paper, bw looks really impressive, but somehow its interface and even workflow is so off-putting compared to Ableton’s.
With its clear, minimalistic interface theme and the no nonsense workflow, what a fabulous DAW it is.
Ableton is the best.
Re: Ableton is the best.
I haven't dug into most of the other DAWs out there aside from a bit of Logic and FL Studio, but from a UI standpoint I gotta agree - nothing looks (or I assume feels) as clean and polished as Live. The layout especially makes use of space in such an efficient way.

Re: Ableton is the best.
Got a free Ableton Live 2 version, I think 2.11, when I got my first interface.
10 versions later and I still love it.
It truly is the best.
