Re: How do I place clips into arrangement view/timeline?

Quick way is to copy from the session view (right click on the clip, select copy), then paste to wherever you want in the arrangement view (hit tab on keyboard, then right click in track, then click paste).

What is the "sheen" / top-end sound coming from?

Hi guys, Can anyone tell me where the "sheen" / top-end type sound is coming from on so many tracks? I hear it a lot in audio demo tracks on websites of online mixing and mastering houses. To be specific, what frequencies are they emphasising, if it is EQ? Or if it some other thing, what is it? Is i...

External device help kindly

Hey guys. A quick question - I am trying to get an external MIDI device to work however am having no luck. They are a Roland MT-32 sound module and Roland U-110 sound module. I have a Mac with a Presonus Firebox soundcard interface, everything else working well using software devices and microphones...

Anyone using a Firebox succesfully with Windows Vista?

Hello - anyone running Windows Vista with a Presonus firebox? For some reason i'm struggling to find a Windows laptop that has firewire connectivity. I don't have a Vista disk and I want to be a laptop with OS preloaded. If you've got a Vista laptop that has firewire can you post the name and model ...

Re: ableton needs to be half the price

I'm staying at Live 7, can't afford to buy Live 8. The main thing that i'm interested in, Max for Live, doesn't come out until later this year anyway.

Sweet, thanks man. That is even better than it being a sampler in itself.

Question about the Max for Live step sequencer

Hi, So I was just checking out the video for the step sequencer included in the forthcoming Max for Live software - and I have a newb-ish question: where do the drum samples fit into this? I couldn't see any window showing where you load in your different sounds for kick, snare, and so on. Sorry if ...

I'm writing this on my new iPhone. It's mindbendingly awesome. Idrum is highly addictive..I'll have to buy the desktop component so that I can link my beats up and import new sounds. Bought a £5 screen skin which is surprisingly effective also. Re: being on call all the time.. I just switch it off w...

I believe. The first album's mega. Not so keen on the second because my bro overplays it. I agree withe the above poster that wrote that his method just sounds very fun, playful and quite abstract - making his 'fish-bone shaped' drum loops. Great stuff.

Used Windows for ages. Got sick of its crap and bought a Mac. It's never frozen or crashed once in six months of ownership so far.

Any drum software for smart phones besides the iPhone?

So i'm going to buy an expensive phone soon and it's looking like i'll get an iPhone because Apple products have worked well for me so far. I fancy it because it has Izotope's iDrum - drum software to play with on the bus on the way to/from work. However, has anyone tried any of the other big hitter...
