Hey thanks Sintec ... at least I know I'm not alone!

You've contributed some great advice. As you guessed, all the tracks were bounced at equal length to simplify loading & syncing of tracks in LIVE. So yes, there are many tracks that only contain a few bars of actaual audio data. I haven't tried ...

WARPING = DISK OVERLOAD?

Just starting to get my head around LIVE (version 4.0.4) & would like to now give it a run on a remix project. My original mix was done in Logic Audio. I bounced 26 audio files from the Logic mix & imported into Live (most of which are stereo). All tracks lined up & played without a problem. So far ...

The Legato Mode doesn't work for me, when I click "Legato", the second clip starts from the middle lenght, not from the real start point!

When Legato is enabled it will pick up the next sample from where you've just come from rather than going back to the start... so that won't help your cause ...

Sounds like a good operating basis you've got... keeps the samples fresh.

In reality consildating audio in Live is really a rendering action.

I think the manual is a little decieving the way it suggests you can save the current clip settings with the sample...

Good suggestion setting up the "Clip Archive" set.

There's also always the option to consolidate the clip as a new sample which can then be reloaded in future sets.

What do you mean by PCR config app... are you talking about the PCR Editor?

I've just realized that the default PCR memory set "0" has no CC's assigned to L1, L2 & L3 which probably explains why I haven't been able to use these buttons for remote midi assignments. Changing the memory setting to "1 ...

Yeah I'm going through the manual... it's not really specific enough though for an ingnoramus like me!

Are you able to give me a few starters?

EDIROL PCR USERS - USING REMOTE PLAY / STOP?

I've got myself a PCR-30 & am trying to get it to trigger Live's Stop & Play functions...

I can easily achive this via any of the midi notes, rotary controls or sliders BUT NOT via the L1,L2 & L3 buttons?

Anyone shed some light on assigning the L1-L3 buttons for midi control?

With Thanks

Laptop + Digi 002 Rack Ergonomics

Just wondering if there would be any potential for electrical (or other) interference if a loptop were to be placed directly ontop of a 002 Rack during mobile recoding sessions... just considering practical setup options... anything worth taking to account?

Thanks for the info Steve. That sounds like good advice. Haven't had the need to partition with my desktop set up but with the lap top sounds like it could be a good way to go. I'll be using an external firewire/usb combo drive (just looking currently looking at the options - suggetions welcome!). I ...
