If I try the same action again in Drift, aftertouch won't trigger on further downward pressure until I back off the pressure and reapply. I can't get it anything like smooth, it's all over the place.

Yes it is. It's a download. They just charge overseas customers a "shipping fee" of $12 to cover banking costs.

I couldn't send MIDI to any of the AU versions of NI FX plugins, but it works fine with the VST versions.

You need to send note data to the Pro 53 when it's used as an effect to trigger the envelopes.

My main reason is to pass note data into the plugin. Your suggestion of using the instrument version works where there is one, but some plugins are effects only, so this is not an option.
