It's version 7, I'll try upgrading to 7.0.10. The music folder did not yet have any Ableton folders.

I re-installed Live on a new hard drive & tried to set up my backup library as the current library, but I got a popup message saying that the drive isn't writeable. SO I tried setting it in my music folder (this is on a MAC, btw), and it said THAT volume isn't writeable. Of course it is! Has anyone ...

I use an ancient iBook G4, and I've never had an issue with Live (the 800 mhz processor, on the other hand, has taught me to be a spare, efficient producer). Anything newer can only be better.

I'm putting together a weekly radio show (a glorified podcast, really, for the local lpfm station), and I'm trying to figure out how to get a sort of "ducking" effect for when I'm speaking & have background music....setting the track level is tedious, I figure I can use a compressor's sidechaining ...
