Writable directory for library?!?

Post by thoma » Wed Sep 24, 2008 6:34 pm

I re-installed Live on a new hard drive & tried to set up my backup library as the current library, but I got a popup message saying that the drive isn't writeable. SO I tried setting it in my music folder (this is on a MAC, btw), and it said THAT volume isn't writeable. Of course it is! Has anyone else had a problem setting a library location?

Hi Thoma,

which exact version of Live have you installed? Does the problem persists with Live 7.0.10? Furthermore: does your music folder already contain a folder called "Ableton Project Info"?

Best,

It's version 7, I'll try upgrading to 7.0.10. The music folder did not yet have any Ableton folders.

Hi Thasanto,
