Re: Show Flats not Sharps???????

Why would anything need to be saved per clip? Why bother with programming logic to automate the designation of sharps and flats? That's not needed for a basic level of functionality. Why? Well generally because any code has to both integrate with what came before, and what might come later. But mor...

Re: Show Flats not Sharps???????

Even simply being able to designate an entire set as flats instead of sharp would be incredibly helpful and vastly superior to the current situation, and that seems pretty trivial to implement. as a professional half-baker I can say that anything which from the outside seems trivial to implement ra...

Re: How to protect passwords?

You need to actually carry them? Or do you mean "have access to them"? I use a program called keepass, which saves encrypted passwords in strongly encrypted databases. Those databases can be saved on dedicated secure web locations which I can access remotely. You could use Googledrive, Dropbox, etc....

Re: Isolating takes when recording in arrangement with loop mode?

In arrangement drag the start of the clip fragment on the right so it’s leftmost edge is at the left arrangement loop brace. The little chunk of clip which you overwrite and seemingly erase is merely the last bar fragment you recorded. It still exists in the clip but we ignore it for now. To align t...

Re: Free Pack of Operator Presets - test 'em for me?

Nice, wow ... thanks. That's some pretty high praise there! I did work on them for a while because the big pack that they come from has got 140 presets in it ! It took me ages to kick them into shape so I'm really glad people are enjoying the sounds. It's a lot of fun to make Operator sound like som...

Free Pack of Operator Presets - test 'em for me?

Hi folks, I've made a freebie pack of presets for Operator , all racked up, They are a demo of Live's sound creation potential. especially the SFX ones, which you hear some of later in this video ... You can hear them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZDNe0DDyDo Or try the pack here. https://an...

Re: Operator transpose.

Yes. Though it's a little odd, as the Coarse tuning is based on harmonics. The knobs are in each oscillator, on the left side. 0.5 = 1 octave down. 1 = standard tuning 2 = 1 octave up 3 = an octave and a third up (I think) 4 = some other musical interval Etc. It's odd, but makes sense in context. Yo...

Re: I've been making some Live tutorials over at Aulart

I've been lead to believe that a major advantage of using native plug-ins is that their latency etc can be handled by the DAW better than non-native plug-ins where the data 'leaves' Live's domain, gets processed and is sent back to Live. Live can't calculate circular latencies in general. So in an ...

Re: Is there a method to install a user pack of presets?

SURELY Ableton didn't build this Browser and Pack management system to lock out users and service 3rd party licensees at the expense of user experience? That surely didn't happen. Not that it helps but us 3rd Party Licensees got locked out at Live 9. Cheers D Yeah. I remember that. All your product...

Is there a method to install a user pack of presets?

How does a user export and import a Pack of Live Presets? It's a mystery. there seems to be no system any more. There used to be, but not any more. We can create a Live-Pack of a bunch of Instrument rack presets. Collect all and save, manage project: create pack. Now, the old system for installing t...

I've been making some Live tutorials over at Aulart

hey freaks, The folks at Aulart asked me to write some tutorials for Live, covering all kinds of topics but leaning heavily on patch design for Operator, and also using racks for drones, and feedback effects. Making an MS20 style bass in Wavetable, make a shimmer reverb, ... among other things. Thes...

Re: Ableton Live 10.2 / 10.5 when?

Has anyone heard of something aboud ableton getting mpe soon? I saw in youtube something about that People can deduce and speculate because Ableton are obviously invested in the market and they have been producing a Multi-Pressure hardware device for years. There may even be leaky people who have a...
