Re: LIVE 10.1 New Delay Sounds Different

Your template has a Limiter on the Master anyway, no? It makes me think that the default Live template should have one. Have you been peeping in my window again? Heh. my default template (the one live loads automatically) doesn't have anything on the master. I have some other templates which are fo...

Re: LIVE 10.1 New Delay Sounds Different

An update from the latest Beta changelog Bugfixes: Live Sets created in versions of Live older than 10.1 that contain instances of Simple Delay or Ping Pong Delay devices with delay time automation now sound more consistent. not tried it yet. Unrelated but amusing, another bugfix is: Fixed a bug tha...

Re: Replacement for Behringer BCR2000

This looks interesting. https://www.nakedboards.org/mc24.html A nice project but those are potentiometers not encoders, so there's no recall or value display available on them. There are a lot of nice competetive potentiometer products out there at a nice cheap price, eg the Novation Lauchcontrol i...

Re: Please fix the Device Slots or give us a Mixing Window

I would advise great caution in relying on anything which is Options.txt based. The device slots feature was one which they traid and bailed on, it's not new and going to get improved ... it's old and likely to get removed. It first surfaced around 2013 after Madeleine Bloom did a tutorial using her...

Re: Replacement for Behringer BCR2000

I wish there was a solid replacement for the BCR. The ones suggested really don't match up. Comparing the MIDI fighter twister's 16 encoders to the BCR shows the difference... The BCR has 32 rotary encoders and 24 "track" buttons including the clickable top row. + 12 more if we map the ones down the...

Re: Help me O elders of ableton

First thing I'd do is test those encoders/pots to ensure they aren't sending out extraneous data. Quit live, open up something like MIDIox and watch the incoming data after youve twiddled a knob. If there's twittering there check the power to the device, check its being supplied with the correct vol...

Re: Live 10.1 crashes every time when trying to load a song

Any answer from the support since then? for my own Ableton support request we went back and forth and the problem slowly resolved itself after a few things A complete fresh install didn't work, but using the newest version of Max 8 and then telling Live to use that version ... that eventually seeme...

Re: Software synths for live performance latency

Its rare that a software synth adds a really large amount of latency. They usually consume CPU if it's something which processes lots of audio, or if it's a loop shuffling thing it might use a bunch of memory too. Most software synths are pretty low latency. Things which introduce latency are usuall...

Re: Reverb

There's no such thing as a "reverb tab. "

There are return channels. There are inline chains. No such thing as a tab.

So whatever you are doing it's probably not what you think.

Re: Recorded over live session - am I able to retrieve first session?

Those are just folders I've created in Places.

It's where I save my songs.

Find where you songs are saved. For me that's in these folders. Open your folder where you save songs in the live browser and look for the Samples folder in the project which you recorded the audio.
