It's hard to diagnose this over the net. It seems to me that your routing seems right on:
Bass->POD->spdif out->digital input on sound card

If so, it seems the problem is somewhere in the chains gain staging. I am not familiar with either the POD or the creative sound card but here are places I ...

Novel aproaches for sure, but far from ideal in a pro enviroment with clients looking over your shoulder.

Good point! I should have prefaced my "legato" suggestion by stating it should only be used in amateur situations or, at the minimum, with the blind or seeing impaired.

I need to ...

Another technique to try is using the "Legato" setting in clips. For example, let's say you have loop recorded a 4 bar piece 4 times. Copy the 16 bar clip three times in the same column of the session view. You now have 4 clips of the 16 bar track. Then adjust the loop marker to bars 1-4 on the ...

Re: Importantttt

Second of all, THE WAY I wanna work with ableton is Ableton as slave for composing clip with VSTIs and effects and a sketpad of my track in the arrangement and I want to contruct the real track in a master DAW like samplitude/cubase/sonar. It would be connected as master to ableton so this way I ...

To use Live's mapping features: Unfold the default VST interface by pressing the small triangle button in the Live plug view (the one with the X/Y pad). You will now see all the plug's parameters. Press the MIDI mapping button in Live's upper right corner. Select a parameter, twiddle a hardware ...

Anyone know how to use midi learn with CamelSpace in Live 5

Can't figure out how to use midi learn with CamelSpace in Live. Live's midi learn won't let me automate the plug controls and Camelspace's learn doesn't get the pass through from the instrument (e.g. Simpler)

Anyone figure this out?

I don’t think this is such a good idea, I don’t think we should banish DJs to their own forum, just because of their
special needs

Note: no offence intended in this post to dgkenney, DJ’s with or with out special needs, or anybody else reading it for that matter, I’m just being stupid.

I think it's a great idea. There are clearly at least two major steams (and maybe even more) of Live use: DJ and Production. I fall on the production side. While I enjoy reading some of the DJ posts the truth is that because of their special needs it isn't all that helpful in terms of techniques ...

Multi-timbral synth - multi volume ability in mixer

It would be nice to have more control over multi-timbral synths that are using different channel for different instruments right on the mixer. I know this can be done in a number of ways at the present - e.g. in the plug-in itself or thorugh volume/velocity envelopes.

When mixing down, however, it ...
