bumping this...it seems odd that you can't tweak say an effect on a return channel while you're playing another track with the pads.

.nki imports are crashing Live 10

is anybody else having trouble importing kontakt files into live10/sampler?

It hangs every time I import a file. Now what's weird is that older files load fine, but recent ones saved with the latest version of kontakt crash Live.

Re: swapping samples without losing mapping in simpler/drum rack

Awesome thanks! Is there a key shortcut to hot swap the samples instead of the instrument? (Q)

swapping samples without losing mapping in simpler/drum rack

I'm probably missing something here but is there a way to change the sample of simpler/drum rack without loading a completely new instrument? Say if I map a few midi controls to pitch/decay, as soon as I hot-swap the sample all the mappings are gone...what's the way to do this?

dedicated laptop: win7 or win10?

I'm setting up a laptop to run ableton during recording sessions. This is the only thing it'll run and I'll be using it with a behringer UMC1820 sound card.

Is there a consensus on win7 vs win10? What is the most stable and cpu efficient running ableton?

Thanks!

Re: being accused of not being a "real DJ" with Ableton

I didn't read the whole thread but just want to answer the OP's original post by saying that the more I grow in my professional career (non-music related) the more I realize the world if full of mediocre people that can't stand anyone with true talent. "If they come at you, you're probably doing som...

Re: Samplitude user disses Live as 'shit for mixing in' at GS

I just can't understand why the angry tone. regarding the windowing function you were mentioning could it cause the overall amplitude decrease in the high frequencies we see here? Because the windowing is the same in the analysis of the two files. they have the same length as well. Am I missing some...

Re: Samplitude user disses Live as 'shit for mixing in' at GS

well... Samplitude can render from marker to marker into seperate wavs... which I use a lot in editing... live doesn't have that... Logic has notation... so does Cubase... cubase does batch processings/rendering.. and ProToolsLE has no auto latency compensation... (besides the fact that all have di...

Re: Samplitude user disses Live as 'shit for mixing in' at GS

a/b wavs or stfu... I couldn't care less about what you may think of this. I'm not here to take any fan boys off course. I mean, if it works for you and you can't tell a difference then fine by me. But I will record some wavs just for arguments sake. Tbh, if Live could have the same quality as othe...

Re: Samplitude user disses Live as 'shit for mixing in' at GS

I have a fireface 400. I can monitor my inputs directly bypassing live. The sound is wide and detailed (highs and lows mainly) as soon as I route through Live's inputs and monitor the Live's master out the sound gets scooped and the lows get weird with something funky in the mid-lows (100-200Hz mayb...
