Also you may need to get a vid card with that board but you can probably drag one up from an old machine of find a deal on something Direct x 7 unless you want to game on it also.
I picked the 3000+ to becuase of the price point and also there is room on the board for a 3700+ as a future upgrade.

Yeah AMD64 s939. But make sure you get a DVD+-R. They arent getting any cheaper then the $89 CAD i have seen them for latley. Youll want to be able to store lots of audio at once. Getting just a cd burner/dvd-rom would end up saving you about 30 lousy bucks. 8O

I know the s939 amd is past your ...

as you are in Canada, i'd go for the Compaq R3320CA for $1699 Canadian from HP/Compaq.
Athlon 64 3000, 512MB, 60GB hd, Superdrive (DVDRW/CDRW), 802.11b/g Wifi, XP Home, etc.

www.hp.ca

its the same guts as my HP zv5000z, which is the same as the Compaq R3000z. But for some reason in Canada, HP ...

The demo along with these forums are available free to anyone that has the internet. Warez copy's typically do infact contain manuals. Calling noobs pirates seems like jumping to conclusions to me.

Yeah, I already own an ART DI/O AD/DA tube converter, so if i hook that up to the audiophile along with my beringer 902A mixer I will have 4 ins and 4 outs which is just what i need.
I can use the analogue outs of the tube converter for a house mix and the RCA outs on the audiophile into the 2 track ...

Thanks for the great link. I see it may be possible but because latency is such a big concern for my i think i better opt for the midiman audiophile USB. Its about the same price and has 2 stereo outs and 2 stereo ins using SPDIF in. Much more up my alley.

Tascam US-122 + presario laptop = 2 stereo outs??

I ordered a compaq amd64 3000+ laptop today. I want to get an inexpensive sound card that will allow me to have 2 seperate stereo outs. I realize that the US-122 has only 1 set of stereo outs But I am wondering if live would allow me to use the onboard headphone jack for a cue mix and the stereo ...

Luckily I was able to remedy the problem by installing the current drivers from
http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/
They give me all of my available inputs and a output latency of 2ms which should do fine. I recomened uninstalling the existing creative drivers in safe mode before installing these ones.

Audigy / SPDIF in prob.

Hey All,

I'm new to Live and just trying to get set up. I am running the Audigy 2ZS platinum card with latest drivers. When I run cubase it recognizes 12 seperate (6 stereo) ins and lets me utilize each one accordingly. It has 2 sets of ASIOs one standard and one set 24/96. Both sets work fine in ...
