Audigy / SPDIF in prob.

Post by BigGreen » Sun Nov 07, 2004 11:38 pm

Hey All,

I'm new to Live and just trying to get set up. I am running the Audigy 2ZS platinum card with latest drivers. When I run cubase it recognizes 12 seperate (6 stereo) ins and lets me utilize each one accordingly. It has 2 sets of ASIOs one standard and one set 24/96. Both sets work fine in cubase.
Now onto Live and my problem. When I select the standard ASIOs i get no sound on any input and there are 12 like cubase. When I select the 24/96 set I only get 6. The first 2 are a doubled pair off the front mic/line preamp jack, perfect. 5-6 are the stereo pair from the RCAs on teh front bay, also perfect. But 3-4 don't link to any of the other inputs (even though there is the tiniest amount of noise visible. I am hoping that that is supposed to be the SPDIF in from the front. Currentyl I am running an ART DI/O into the coaxial ins on the front. I select every output from 44-96 on the DI/O (plus ext, sync) and Live still doesn't recieve the Sound.
I do know the SPDIF on the comp is working fine because if I unmute it in windows mixer I get sound. Also the channel seems set up fine as it recies input fine from the other 2 mentioned sources.
I am just hoping someone else might have encountered this same problem or has any experience with these cards and live.
Thank you :)

Luckily I was able to remedy the problem by installing the current drivers from
http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/
They give me all of my available inputs and a output latency of 2ms which should do fine. I recomened uninstalling the existing creative drivers in safe mode before installing these ones.
