Switching regularly between Mac and PC
Greetings. I'm wondering if anyone is doing this with their projects and what problems they've run into. For my question let's assume: both are running Ableton Suite. both are using Live devices and VSTs but no AU plugins, and all the same devices and plugins are installed on both machines. I've loo...

Re: Switch presets in Amplitube
Figured it out. I used a Tech21 MIDI Mouse for program changes, routed into Live (any MIDI controller that sends program changes will work). I set up a MIDI channel listening for the MIDI Mouse input. Output to the channel with Amplitube on it and every time I send a change, it gets it. Seems instan...

Switch presets in Amplitube
Greetings. I am trying out the demo of Amplitube and can't seem to find a way to assign a MIDI pedal to switch presets with Live as the host. Is there a simple way?

Re: Launch scene from a specific point in time for all clips?
Thanks for the correction. I always do it manually because I like starting clips in different places....

Re: Launch scene from a specific point in time for all clips?
PXT-Live will get you there but there is another way. Duplicate your scene Select all the clips. Move the start marker to where you want it to begin (this should work for all clips if they are all selected, but check the others--you might have to do that part manually, so 5 times). Launch your new s...

Re: device in focus automatically?
Thank you.
Why MIDI notes instead of CCs? I have some dim memory of an earlier version of Live only accepting notes via Remote control but it seems that CCs now work, and they're better for my pedal.

Re: device in focus automatically?
Perfect, it works. Thank you! One other question. Is there a way to manually edit MIDI mappings, rather than using MIDI learn? I think I'll need 2 different CCs for the button push so that I can ALSO select the track if I want to use another device.

device in focus automatically?
I'm working with a MIDI pedal to control looper and some other devices. What I'd like to happen is for the looper to automatically pop up on the screen when I hit the button assigned to "record" (or any other device when I hit a button assigned to a parameter for it). Is this possible, and if so, wh...

Re: Looper Improvements
I'm just bumping this thread. I just had a back and forth with Ableton support (best email support in the business) where they confirmed the click problem for me. This could easily be solved in 1 of 2 ways: 1. Manually adjust the crossfade time so that when you're looping drones (as I do) there is n...

MIDI map working but not in practice
Hi All,
I'm having a MIDI mapping issue. When I press a button on my foot pedal, it maps to MIDI just fine. But when I turn off MIDI mapping, it doesn't do anything even though the little MIDI input light lights up. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Do you protect your Push when it's in your backpack?
Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered one. It seemed decadent to order one just as a dust cover, but now that it's getting banged around in my bag I'm feeling a little different….

Do you protect your Push when it's in your backpack?
Like the title says. I'm thinking for real travel, like flying. And I'm thinking more about protecting it from impact against other stuff in the backpack. Is that a reason to get one of those overpriced dust covers, or is there another solution to protect the knobs, etc? I've always skipped the dust...

Re: Push as performance controller
I think if you plan to play a controller based set like an instrument (which is my goal) then you better build it yourself. It's so much easier to train your muscle memory if you programed all these buttons yourself. This thread showing up in my inbox reminds me to thank Tom profusely for encouragi...

Thanks for the replies. I found this device: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=104 . It seems to solve the problem.

Re: Complement to auto filter that's low on the CPU hit
Already there. I think it will be my new go-to-filter. I was like 8O then I was like :D then I was like  EDIT: Also special props to yur2die4. I hadn't thought of the EQ8 but in like 10 sections I was getting a lot of resonance and doing a lot with it, and it responds well to the Max4Live LFO. ...
