Re: How to repair library in Live 9.

I've installed to Mac however skipped the library scan and set up so I could redirect Live to Live 8 Library. I was unaware Live 9 had a separate library.

Unfortunately The library section is missing for example all my drums and there are no drums in the live 9 library (presumably because I ...

Re: How to repair library in Live 9.

Hi Bud :D

Go to file manager, a window will open and you can repair from there

Thanks but I'm only getting:

Manage Set

Manage Project and

Manage User Library

None of which give me the option to complete repair or rebuild the library, like in Live 8 Preferences>Library>Repair library

Am I ...

Re: Seen the front page? Live 9 is here :o

No ability to separate arrangement and session view and no mention of 64 bit support (if there was support they would say!). The controller price point is too high as well (although that will drop). Quite disappointing.

User configurable and shareable Midi CC maps for hardware.

It would be useful to have CC Mapping templates available to add to a MIDI track which would convert Input CC messages from an ableton default template to default templates for individaul hardware.

An exmaple would be:

Controller sends CC#1 - Ableton template sends CC#105 for one instrument

Hardware control of Program Change in Ableton

Presently Ableton can send program changes and pass through a program change message from a hardware controller. Is it possible to enable Ableton's program change field to record program change messages sent from controllers? It would save me re-configuring all my midi devices every time I switch to ...

I had a quick look into SSDs. It seems the bottleneck is often the SATA interface. Apparently your better of with a pcie hard drive like the one from ocz.

Re: Memory for low latency?

I was using something like 520ms buffer at 48k

I've just installed osx on a different HD for kicks and got the same equipment stable at 250ms at 48k
With these settings I synced my drumstation at 30ms.

Re: Building a new DAW - What do you guys think of this?

Take a look at Focusrites recommendations for Firewire chipsets. I think they only recommend two Texas Instrument ones and I recently sent back an Asus P45 board in favour of a Gigabyte equivalent because of this.

Re: Ableton Live sounds lackluster (for my purpose)

Without wanting to invite the whole analogue debate thing, have a look at picking up some second hand 80s synths from ebay. I picked up a Roland Juno 106 and a Yamaha Tone generator which gives me everything I need for lush pads.
