Hey,
I actually have been e-mailing directly with tech support about this problem and the bad news is the way we've been describing it is exactly the way its supposed to work. The only application I can see for the feature as it is implemented is that when you first boot up a live set, it can be ...

takover mode questions and troubles
I'm having trouble with takeover modes.
here is what the manual says:
"When MIDI controls that send absolute values (such as faders) are used in a bank-switching
setup, where they address a different destination parameter with each controller bank, you
will need to decide how Live should handle the ...

Problems with take-over modes
So i have some questions about take-over. First of all does takeover only apply to controllers which support automapping? I'm using an edirol pcr-30 with manual mapping, and I'm getting some mixed results. It seems when I choose a takeover mode and select a channel, the controls on my control ...

Recording Live input through FX problems
Hi,
I'm trying to bring in an input signal through some FX on one channel and then record the proceessed audio in real time on a seperate track which takes its input from the first. I'm getting a lot of pops and click in the audio. Even if I set the latency very high I still get the same result. I ...

Well i did some tests using the built in audio and recording to the firewire drive, and the firewire 410 recording to the built in drive. Both of those still had the same issues. So I'm not sure if its the two devices on the same firewire bus problem. Don't really know what to do. The problem is ...

Thanks for the help. I don't think I'm gonna invest in a PCI soundcard just now.
My laptop has a FW 800 port too. Is this sharing the same bus with the firewire 400? If not maybe I could get an 400>800 adapter for one of the devices and use that. I know I wouldn't be using the 800 port for all it ...

Help with performance setup
Hi, I'm running live 4.0.1 on an Aluminum Powerbook 15" 1.25 Ghz 512 MB Ram, OS 10.3.4. Audio interface is a firewire 410, sharing the same firewire bus with a lacie 120GB 7200 RPM drive. Also using a behringer fcb 1010 with control aid software as a midi input to live.

Help with glitches and dropouts.
Hi,
I've been doing some live looping with Live 4.0.4, Powerbook 1.25 GHz and an M-audio firewire 410. Been getting some strange hangs and glitches when arming a track or recording etc. This would maybe be tolerable but it actually seems to be adjusting the clips relative to the meter, making ...

CPU meter 30%: Clicks and Pops Help!
HI,
I'm running Live 4.0.1 on a Powerbook G4 1.25 GHz. Using an M-Audio Firewire 410. Live CPU meter is only showing around 30%, but I'm getting glitchy audio, especially when I grab a fader or something and try to tweak while live is playing. Any advice?

Advice needed: Portable Laptop Table
Hi,
I'm a guitar player using live on a laptop as an FX processor. I'm looking for a portable table to sit my laptop on. Something high enough that I can access the computer when I'm standing up to play.
