CPU meter 30%: Clicks and Pops Help!

Post by masterboyle » Sun Dec 12, 2004 11:37 pm

HI,
I'm running Live 4.0.1 on a Powerbook G4 1.25 GHz. Using an M-Audio Firewire 410. Live CPU meter is only showing around 30%, but I'm getting glitchy audio, especially when I grab a fader or something and try to tweak while live is playing. Any advice?

try looking at converting stereo samples into mono, then stereo tracks to mono where needed. and be careful with the reverb. Even on economy it still knocks the cpu up 10%. This helped me heaps as I was having similar probs to you running on a g4 powerbook 667mhz with 512 ram.

change your buffer size in audio preferences.
