Re: Selecting Clip without triggering it

Live doesn't have a select modifier within the software, this is supported by a number of MIDI controllers via the Control Surface functionality however. Chers D ...and it is the biggest downside of performing with Notebook vs. Push. While I can preselect any combination of session clips via (>Strg...

Re: All this unnecessary highlighting that slows you down.

Let´s call it "penetrant preselections" which can not be deactivated.
Drives me sometimes crazy, too.
I think it is worth a discussion indeed.
Maybe not the way how it started here, please.

Re: The chance of zero latency

No Stephan I’m serious and I’m not off topic. Live devices (almost) don’t add latency, and yeah they work great. You noticed that I said you don’t need “much” 3rd party plugins. Live is missing a very few devices like dynamic equalization or a good amp simulation ( I mean one good for realistic gui...

Re: The chance of zero latency

Plus you'll soon realize that you don't really need much 3rd party plugins, except for their nice GUI, so you could sell them and make bit of room on your hard drive. Wow, a through ball for getting off topic now. Assuming you are not too ironic, even though I honestly wish these words could be tru...

Re: How to clean the rubbery coating on the sides of Push 2?

All these devices with that modern ruberised coating go this way (sticky and eroding) after a few years. It's not s durable coating and unfortunately there's no way to "repair" this coating. I think it's a bad choice personally but I guess it's sexy on the showroom floor. I predict in 5 years nobod...

Re: Color favourites

+1 I made a note about that in the Color Palette Thread too. The idea seems to recieve positive feedbacks. Therefore I made a suggestion in the Public Beta Forum. https://ableton.centercode.com/project/feedback/view.html?cap=f2a8af8874d748189b70ab7c0c1a5878&uf=7333fa10dd2a4d22b0b75eeea7675894&new=1&...

Re: Who programmed the DSP for Ableton's stock plugins?

There have been plenty of people passing through Ableton. Way back in the past when Simpler, Sampler and Operator were made there were very few employees. I have a recollection that Operator DSP was by Matthias Mayrock after the original design by R.Henke... Yes, Robert Henke. It changed a lot when...

A color palette showing only my selected favourite colors would make Live life so much easier indeed.

Re: Global groove needs to come back for LIVE beat making!

the oddest thing about groove is ... there's the weird "hidden" groove which I guess is accesible very easilly from Push, but also via the API. That is the Push-Swing. It has a monofunctional knob on Push. it's a completely separate swing from the groove pool. it's just a plain old 16th shuffle Ind...

Re: Linking Clips

A cleverly designed Link-System is a requested feature for many years. Although not as popular as "Vocal Comping". My Vision is beyond Clip editing only. We could be able to link any Device. EQ/FX Settings that need to be changed in Recording- and Playback Channels simultaneously etc. But I think th...

Re: Group Clip Names

+1

Very good suggestion.

- Name Group Clips
- Solid color backround
- Choose color

Just taking the color from the first clip of the scene creates a pretty messy layout on Push/Push2.

Re: Paulstretch in Ableton (the VST/AU version)

Excellent Tip. Thank you! Perfect addition to Abletons Stretch Algos I am alost only using when pulled to the extremes... ;-) Honestly I was hoping for a move in this direction here. We are in the age of granular synthesis for a while now. And multiple Ghz of processing power. Do we really need to u...

Re: Annoying pitch

Restarting at 1.1.1 in this case will ignore the pitch bend parameter. It doesn't mater how the end looks. As this means Live ignores the pitch bend data in the start of the clip — at "0" — I'd call this a glaring bug! Exactly! Even Abletons solution: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/2097...
