How to make a DJ-style transform button in Live
Hi everybody,
I want to make a DJ-style transform button for Live. This is a simple mute button, but it's an instant toggle - you press the button in and the signal mutes, the moment you let go of the button the signal unmutes. The result is one of the foundational sounds in hip hop. For reference ...

Re: Using Ableton for vocal effects in live performance
Thanks dsu. Initially I was hesitant about using an audio interface, but I gave it a try today with my Focusrite 18i8 and it worked pretty well. I have the 1st generation of that unit, and it only has 2 1/4" TRS monitor output, so no dedicated outs for the clips, but it will do for now.

Using Ableton for vocal effects in live performance
Hi everybody - I've been messing around with the idea of using Ableton for vocal effects. Everything I'm talking about in this post is for live performance only. I recently bought the Looptimus pedal so I can trigger clips in Live and it's been working great, but I also want to use Looptimus to ...

What level is Normalize on export?
Hi.
I've been doing some tests of some portable digital recorders and using the Normalize option on export. How can I determine what level Ableton Live is outputting this audio at? For example, is it -23 LUFS? I would like to know.
Thanks!

Re: Any camera/photography aficionados here?
Get her the Canon EOS SL1 - A DSLR with an APS-C sized sensor (much better than a point-and-shoot). Get it with the 18-55mm kit lens. This camera does everything an average entry-level DSLR should do (including having a very capable "automatic everything" mode), in a size that is considerably ...

Pray tell, Mr. McBoob, do these work with 7509s?
Nope. They work with 7506, V6, and Audio Technica M30's. We managed to squeeze a pair onto Audio Technica M40's, but it was such a light fit that stretched the material so much that we decided not to claim compatibility with those.

Re: General help with live
Hi Elliot. I wouldn't worry about what things do so much. The amount of effort it would take to read up on all of that would be tremendous, and it would all be hands-off, so you wouldn't actually get anything out of it.
