I've got me credit card ready for the up-grade if someone can convince me that Live 8 will 1) take my existing music collection and 2) give me the same latency live 7 did.

Otherwise I'll continue to make my tunes with Live 7.

...For some reason I cant achieve the same ultra low latency i've had with 7 :( Even with exactly the same settings)

Also, for some reason live 8 does not recogise any of my MP3's. says they are corrupt etc..

Anyone else had simmilar problems ...

I normaly spend around 60-100 quid a week on tunes.

For most mainstream stuff i use Play.com though for techno/breakbeat etc.. In use 3 Beat Records based in Liverpool, can even buy pre-warped tracks.

I was under the impression that eq8 was flat by delault? Cant hear any difference untill settings are adjusted though may be my 41 year old ears!!

I have noticed some slight colouration with eq3 but tend to use this for my dj set only.

How did Barclays do so well out of it? They seem to be stating record profits for 2008 whilst the rest are floundering in a financial k-hole?

Most of my techniques i use to get a rich, warm sound are from my old school, 1980's 4 track days but still seem to work for me today....

I normaly avoid using too many fx, especialy compression and favour using volume envelopes/automation on the offending part. This gives me more control and ...

I'd like a guitar fx unit thats controled in the same way as the Virtual Theramin by Cycling 74 (Controled with a web cam).

Would be great to controll the wah-wah etc with just the movement of the guitar neck.
