I now run the course on Ableton 101 and the 201 will be available soon.
There is another big thing about learning online which you can't have by reading the manual or watching videos : you have an actual teacher (or Learning Advisor as they're called) to ask your questions to and who will grade ...

The Bridge : using the serato interface with live ?
Hi,
I was wondering if, with the release of the bridge, it will become possible to use the serato audio interface as a soundcard for ableton live.
Thanks...

Latency issues... again...
Hi there,
I played my liveset in front of several thousand people yesterday and as I had already experienced latency issues, I was very careful to check that everything was ok before I started playing. I turned airport off on my macbook (2.4GHz Core 2 Duo / 4 Gb ram / 7200 rpm internal drive) and ...

Re: Midi latency between live on a macbook and padkontrol
ok, now I'm getting a little irritated with this : I played in a club last night and after having plugged my macbook, the padkontrol, the novation remote zero sl and the edirol FA101 sound card, I decided to do a quick check in my headphones as the DJ before me was finishing his set. Bad luck, there ...

Midi latency between live on a macbook and padkontrol
Hi everyone !
I have a problem which I have never been able to solve completely. I play live with a macbook core 2 duo 2.4GHz / 4Go RAM and a 7200 rpm internal drive. I use an Edirol FA101 firewire sound card and two usb controlers : a Novation Remote Zero SL and a Korg PadKontrol. I set the buffer ...

5 wishes in one post :)
Hi everybody and specially Ableton staff members,
Thank you for this great software even though version 8 needs to be improved a little so that it becomes as reliable and smooth as v7.
I have 5 wishes to submit to you :
- a "save as" ---> previous versions of Live. I'm working on my new tracks ...

Re: Is Live 8 trustworthy ?
Thanks for the answers :)
I also have the feeling that v8 is more demanding in terms of CPU. That would suck if I had to stay with 7 for live performances because of this issue, as I will probably use v8 to produce my tracks. I need to be commpatible between the stage and the studio...

Is Live 8 trustworthy ?
Hi everybody,
I bought live 8 yesterday (upgrade from 7). Worked with it a big part of the night and it works pretty well on my desktop computer (G5 2x2Ghz- 6Go ram) except for a few long waits to open the first livesets (very long), more CPU usage in general I think, and I must say a few crashes ...
