and NOT ONLY every key mappable

how about EVERY ableton function mappable or shall i say midi assignable?

there are lots of things that you cannot midi assign which i wish you could, like Solo Chainn's Instruments, Focus on VST's (wrench), and tons more...

ok, since Ctrl + , opens up preferences

why not have it CLOSE preferences the second time you hit this combo of keys?

it does so with midi map, key map, why not with the "preferences" box???

it would be good to know what the MAJOR features will be for the next major release, Version 8,

Anyone? Ableton?

Please let us know so we can start salivating

3 things for version 8:

i just wanna be able to midi assign the chains "solo" in the instrument racks

AND

be able to midi assign the "focus" on the sub-tracks (chains)

AND

be able to midi assign the "wrench" (open/close VST's GUI)

and what program will you then use?

there is nothing out there like Ableton,

it's not like you're dropping cubase, for logic, for performer, etc...

as i said, keep option of going back to "classic" GUI as well

i'm not saying totally change GUI, just color scheme a bit, maybe more modern faders, so it does not look so "stick" like, DOS like

i guess Markus likes teh current look and is afraid of change...

to me it just looks a bit "16 color" like

how bout a nice, modern, "fresh" look for version 8.0 ?

something a bit more colorful, a nice silvery metallic look, not gray,
how about VU meters with green, changing gradually to orange, red, etc..

something easy on the eyes but modern, like logic, cubase, etc,

Live's GUI to me looks a bit ...

i would have had this midi assign "wrench" in since version 1.0

along with my midi assignable solo chains, and focus sub-tracks

we can assign focus on tracks,
why not on the subtracks created with instrument rack/chains ????
