do genres help or not? , well i think it depends where you are in the world and who you are talking to. in my own city if i told a random person on the street that i make Techno music. They think Prodigy or Crystal Method. So in that instance the term techno does nothing to describe my music, only ...

ok. quit blameing everything on us americans. most of these silly genre names were imported into the u.s. most of the endless variations of techno and house were around before american mass media caught on to the whole "rave scene". of course from there on out, our media made a mockery of everything...

bit of food for thought - and they say smoking a bong of weed is like a whole pack of the strongest cigarettes with no filters! that is just anti-weed proaganda. it just sounds really dramatic. like you will die in a week if you smoke herb. sure smoking anything is bad for you. but who ever said tha...

i'm a pro graphic designer, and i get asked to recreate copyrighted stuff all the time. i usually refuse. just to be on the safe side. but every now and then i will do it if it is a parody or just for a desktop pic. chances are they will only sue u if u make money from the image. but copyright law i...

I use an M-Audio 1814 on a brand new G4 17" PowerBook, 1.5 Ghz proc,, 2GB RAM and I get the glitches too. It's more then that really. I actually have in my possession (2) FW 1814's and it happens on both. I am also a longtime user and so far LIve 4.x doesn't work as well as the others. wow i though...

Were you successfully using live 2 or 3 with you exact setup previously? Thanks. Adam yeah, previous versions didn't have any problems. never any pops or clicks. even if i was pushing the limit of what my machine could handle. the screen response would get sluggish, but the audio would sound ok. la...

i'm still holding out for a G5 powerbook.

i was speaking to a friend last night about how the 'bling-bling' hip hop thing has really large parallels to the 'big hair' metal scene in the late 80's. all obsessed with self image and totally believing their own hype. - am i have been thinking the same thing for a while now. i'm so glad i'm not...

the 80s crap has started already - plenty of fashion victims in nyc looking like they stepped out of 'Fame' or an old Madonna video. now the question is, how long before the people ditch their adam ant pants and/or big hair in favor of flannels and wait with bated breath for the Soundgarden reunion...
