by the way, if you have enough voices enabled, operator has zero latency. the only latency you have is the one of your soundcard.

to save cpu power, disable spread(0%), reduce the number of maximal voices and disable HQ.

I had a setup using 6 operators, one for bassdrum, one for snaredrum, one for hihats, bass, organ and fx plus some compressor2s, delays, eqs and the cpu never went above 15% on my 2ghz athlon 64.
