Ideally I want the Nord Electro 2 (73 keys), but I need one NOW and don't have that much cash.

Need something 61 keys+ that has one good Piano, decent organs and a harpsichord.

Need something reliable, as it will be for gigging. I think that dragging my M-Audio keystation Pro 88 and my old laptop ...

I had the same problem. It's because the Motu will function as a stand-alone mixer as well as a soundcard. Open up the software on your computer (looks like a mixer) and you can fix it from there. I forget exactly what i had to to, but I think it was pretty straightforward once I opened the software.

I don't think it's for sale anymore. not sure why. Anyone know where I could possible get a copy?

but is it really necessary to save all the multisamples from the EIC separately with each file? that is a pain and a waste of space....it would be nice if live did not feel compelled to copy the samples from it's own internal instruments over, and over, and over....

I don't understand...is it audio feedback or electrical? Have you tried a ground lift or running your gear off one of those battery surge protectors to try and get a clean electrical signal?

I used to get really nasty fuzz from my mixer outs before I moved locations...it was a dirty electrical ...

I may get slammed for this.....

If price is an issue (which it often is)...I would recommend a pair of sennheiser HD 202's. Consider it a temporary solution untill you can really pour some cash into it. Great transparency, pretty comfortable, not expensive.

If you are a Keys player...buy it. excellent grand piano and classic organ sounds. My consideration was my recent upgrade to the intel mac and the lack of available plugs....but now that I have it, I would recommend it fo sho!

Just buy the cheapest macbook get lots o' ram and you will n ot be disappointed!

I just went from my old iBook G4 0.8Ghz with one G ram to a 17" iMac I Got for 900$ because it was the store demo model and I literally have 15x the power i had before. I haven't even upgraded the RAM on the iMac yet.

Just switched to to the new intel iMac yesterday, I've got all the UB free plugins I can find but it looks like I need to actually buy some software this time. Too many of my sounds cannot be reproduced/substituted with the freebies. My plan is to buy one piece of hardware and one piece of software ...

That is worth 5 grand! As a keys player with an interest in jazz percussion that is the most attractive piece of ass i've seen in a long time.
