Hi, This is the first time I shall be buying Ableton and I am wondering whether to download or buy the boxed version sorry for the long question but I really need the help.
1) If you by the box and download first do you have to reinstall everything when it arrives or just the Session Druns and EIC2 ...

Thanks for the tipp. I talked to the same guy (irish accent ) and he solved all problems asap.
As he told me the system cannot "see" if one have upgraded during the grace period or not.

I was quite sure that I get a free upgrade for Suite 8, since I upgraded Live7 to Suite 7 an February 26th.

I am wondering if there is an easy way to remove Session Drums from my HD, it takes up a ton of space and I rarely use it, however how do I ensure that i've got it all? Is it just in the Waveforms folder or are there bits and pieces elsewhere? I also don't want to remove any Drum Machine stuff and ...

can somebody explain me (dumb guitar player who has only a small knowledge of MIDI) how I setup my Korg Kontrol 49 keyboard that it works like it should?

I tried to do a dump out of Live like described in the helpfile several times, but it didn´t work.

I can use the keyboard but not ...

I really like the Drum Racks in Live.
But whenever I drag and drop a sample from the browser onto one of the pads in a rack, it is named "E-Kick" and I have to rename every pad by hand.
Is there any preference which names the pads after the dragged samples?
(Or if not, names it just Simpler or ...

i cant believe they only mapped the first 8 channels, they work so well. i was really happy with my purchase until i realized i couldnt use the other 2 banks.



Is that true? I was about to buy an AKAI MPK. So I am better off with a Novation when it comes to "remoting" Live?
